Welcome to Silver Hollow Stables! Where horses and humans bond together, and can speak through telepathy. Now, now! This may seem confusing, but allow me to explain.
See, Silver Hollow's history is claimed to be a mere rumor, when it is not. Silver Hollow was founded by a man named Jim Hudson, who found that he and his daughter could speak to a certain horse through telepathy. However, if they tried telepathy with another horse, the communication with the other was broken.
Several years of practice finally allowed the pair to speak to more than one horse with these strange ways of telepaty. Soon, the found more and more people coming to them, claiming that they too could speak to a horse that they had bonded well with. When they proved themselves true, he welcomed them to the stables, and soon, the population at the secluded school was large, and families began to believe these rumors. Eventually, the entire state of Nevada didn't need to believe it was true to know it was true, and people began to treat all that attended the school as if they were vampires.
They were called misfits, and if a person was spotted leaving the stable grounds, they were chased back into the stable's area, or over the Nevada border. In some cases, the people were killed.
After ten years of nothing but hatred from what the stable participants called "Normies", they were fed up, and began to strike back. If a human came at them with a weapon, they would merely step forth with a weapon as well, and in some cases, bare fists. Fighting between the Normies and the "Specials", as the Stable students were called, continues for a good twenty-five years.
Peace came only three years ago, when a ten year old girl named Emilee Hayson stood up for both races, even though she was a Special. Her speech inspired many people as she spook of the Specials being human as well. It wasn't like they were immortal or anything. Or even the vampires they were treated like. Many people came to their senses, and began living in peace with the Specials. So long as they stayed outside the stable gates, unless invited in. However, Emilee knew that not everyone had been influenced, and soon, the Rebels began sneaking over the walls at night, searching for her dorm.
The night of her thirteenth birthday, they found her, and she was killed. A few of her good friends from the stables hunted the Rebels down and killed them as they had the young teen. It was then that the war started again, and now, there are more Rebels than Normies. But, there's till more Specials than Rebels, and the Specials plan on keeping that number high, even if it takes their life away...
